Terms and conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to every person registering as a delegate for the IAEVG 2019 International Conference to be held in Bratislava, Slovakia from September 11-13, 2019, hereafter referred to as “the conference”, organised by the Association of Career Guidance and Career Development hereafter referred to as “the organisers”.

All admission fees (including accompanying person) to the IAEVG 2019 International Conference include:

Admission to all scientific sessions
3 x Lunch
Coffee Breaks
Conference bag and conference materials

The conference will be held at University of Economics in Bratislava. Information and updates regarding the program for the conference will be continuously published on www.iaevgconference2019.sk.

Conference registration

Only fully completed registration forms will be accepted. An invoice will be sent upon receipt of payment in full. If the full payment has not been received before the deadlines indicated, the registration will remain valid, however the due fee will be increased according to the payment period.

The conference organisers cannot guarantee that a conference bag and other conference materials will be available for late registrations. All conference materials will be distributed on-site. If the maximum delegate capacity is reached, the conference organisers reserve the right to refuse additional registrations.

Student registration is available only to undergraduate students enrolled full time. Post-docs may not register as students.

Only family members only may register as accompanying person. This registration is available only for 1 person per 1 regular registration.

Cancellation Policy

Notice of cancellation must be in writing and sent to registration@iaevgconference2019.sk. Following cancellation fee will be applied:

until June 30, 2019 – 25% of the registration fee
between July 1 – July 31, 2019 – 50% of the registration fee
after August 1, 2019 – No refund

The date of the email receipt will be the basis for considering refunds. Please indicate your bank details on your written cancellation. All refunds will be made after the conference. For bank transfer payment, a bank handling charge will be deducted from the amount of refund.

The conference organisers reserve the right to modify the programme. No refunds will be granted for unattended event or early termination of attendance, in case of cancellation of speakers or other incidents during the conference, which are beyond the control of the conference organisers. By registering to the conference, participants agree that the organising committee assume any liability whatsoever. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements for health and travel insurance. The conference fee does not include insurance.

Cancellation of the conference

In the event that the conference cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the conference organisers (force majeure) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the conference organisers, the conference organisers cannot be held liable by delegates for any damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodation costs, costs for additional orders, financial losses, etc.

Under these circumstances, the conference organisers reserve the right to reimburse the delegate after deducting costs already incurred for the organisation of the conference and which could not be recovered from third parties.

Data protection and privacy

By registering for this conference the parties concerned are agreeing that the conference organisers may use that personal information to contact them by email or telephone, in order to supply information relevant to this conference. By agreeing to these terms, the attendee agrees that the following contact details will be shared with other conference attendees: name, institution, country, email address. For promotional purposes, photos and video recordings will be taken during the conference. Attendees who do not wish to be filmed or recorded should advise the organisers in writing prior to the event.

Liability

The conference organisers shall be held liable in the framework of a duty of care according to statutory provisions. The liability of the conference organizers – for whatever legal reason – shall be limited to intent and gross negligence. The liability of commissioned service providers shall remain unaffected by this. The delegate shall take part in the conference at his/her own risk. Oral agreements shall not be binding if these have not been confirmed in writing by the organisers.

Fulfilment and jurisdiction

The terms of this contract shall be fulfilled in Bratislava, Slovakia and, in the event of any legal claims arising from either party, Bratislava, Slovakia shall be the sole court of jurisdiction.
